Soren
For people who build things and like their tools to show. A bone spec sheet on a platinum desk: the date as a prompt, your writing in a monospace face, your voice notes as an LED meter. What you keep goes up like the posters over a builder's desk: spec sheets, keycaps, terminals, punch cards, floppy disks.
In the app: Settings → Preferences → Appearance → Soren White, or Soren Dark. On a computer, the look's name at the top of the journal opens the same list. It follows your account to every device.

Soren Dark
The same page in jet, for people who work in a dark editor: bone light for your words, phosphor green for the cursor, your ticks and the place. The same prompt, squares and meter, and the same wall in Commonplace.

A page like a spec sheet.
(one page, in the app.)
A page in Soren White, drawn by the Haumm app with a made-up journal, and what makes it Soren.
- 1
The date as a prompt
An orange chevron, the day set big and a block cursor that never blinks, the weekday and month small above. On a computer, three signal squares start the title's rule.
- 2
Blocks on a grid
A hard hairline, square corners and a small square key for each list.
- 3
Lit cells
Done ticks fill in, so a week of habits reads like a grid of lit cells.
- 4
An LED meter
An orange key to play, the note's own levels as columns of lit squares, its length in mono.

What you keep, over the desk.
(one wall for both.)
Keep a line, a photo or a voice note and it comes back as one of twenty-six posters from a builder's desk: a spec sheet, a keycap, an LED board, a terminal, a punch card that really punches your words, a floppy disk, a changelog. Photos stay whole and upright. Re-roll for another. With Posters off, each piece opens in a one-bit window.

Not just the page.
(every room, in Soren.)
This is the app itself, with a made-up journal. Click through the page, Commonplace and Bookmarks in White or Dark, and flip the writing between mono and sans.
