step by step
Capricorn
For people who climb, slowly. A crisp page printed in deep navy and bronze on a slate-granite desk, like a plan carried in a pocket on the way up: the day in an arch over the furrows of a field, a lichen star for what's done, and a voice note that plays from a small peak, drawn as a row of stitches. What you keep goes up as engraved posters: sundials with your words as the motto, steel engravings of mountains and frames of stone and bronze, and your photos stay whole.
Free while Haumm is in early access. After that, every journal has White and Night, the paid year adds three looks you choose, and more are a few dollars each, yours to keep. You can try any look on your own pages first.

Capricorn, dark
The same page in slate at night, for the evening after a long day: soft white words, warm bronze for the date, and the arch, the stars and the peak in lichen. The same sea-goat and the same furrows, and the same wall in Commonplace.

A page like a plan carried up the trail.
(one page, in the app.)
A page in Capricorn, drawn by the Haumm app with a made-up journal, and what makes it Capricorn.
- 1
The day in an arch
The date in an arch: the weekday over the day, the month and year under it, Capricorn's sign at its top and the furrows of a field at its foot. On a computer, the sign and a star start the title's rule.
- 2
Lists ruled in lichen
Each list a crisp card ruled twice in lichen, its mark a small peak.
- 3
A star for what's done
Done ticks turn into lichen four-point stars, so a good week of habits fills with them.
- 4
Stitches
A voice note plays from a small peak, and its own levels are drawn as a row of stitches.

What you keep, cut in stone.
(one wall for both.)
Keep a line, a photo or a voice note and it comes back as one of twelve engraved posters, printed in one or two inks on old paper: a tarot card, the day's sun and moon, an old magazine's cover, a fortune card's border (it tells the date, never a fortune), an engraving's plate, a sheet of stamps, a star card, a voice note's rays or clouds; and Capricorn's own, a sundial with your words as its motto, a steel engraving of mountains, and a photo in stone and bronze. Many show their day's sky, worked out from the date. Never a horoscope or a reading. Photos stay whole. Re-roll for another. With Posters off, each piece is a card ruled in gold.
