Cancer

For people who keep the moon. A pearl page printed in midnight and gold, like a diary's cover: the day in a gold arch with the tide at its foot, a gold star for what's done, and a voice note that plays from the moon's light. What you keep goes up as diary covers, tarot cards and wheels, each with its day's moon, and your photos stay whole.

and dark

Cancer, dark

The same page in midnight, for writing by a candle or catching a dream before it goes: pearl words, and the arch, the stars and the moon's light in lunar gold. The same tide and seals, and the same wall in Commonplace.

A page like a diary's cover.

A page in Cancer, drawn by the Haumm app with a made-up journal, and what makes it Cancer.

  1. The day in an arch

The date in a gold arch: the weekday over the day, the month and year under it, a star at its top and three lines of tide at its foot. On a computer, a gold crescent and a star start the title's rule.

  2. Lists ruled in gold

Each list a pearl card ruled twice in gold, its mark a small seal.

  3. A star for what's done

Done ticks turn into gold four-point stars, so a good week of habits fills with them.

  4. The moon's light

A voice note plays from a gold disc with wavy rays, and its own levels are drawn as four lines of tide.

What you keep, under the moon.

(one wall for both.)

Keep a line, a photo or a voice note and it comes back as one of twenty-one posters from an astrology shelf: a diary's cover, the crab and the moon, an aura print, a tarot card, a zodiac wheel, a paperback's page, a lunar month. Each shows its day's sky, worked out from the date: the moon's phase, and the signs the sun and the moon were in. Never a horoscope or a reading. Photos stay whole, with a small Cancer stamp on a corner. Re-roll for another. With Posters off, each piece is a card ruled in gold.
