Bookplate
For the journal you mean to hand down. Rag paper on an oak desk, lamp-black ink and rubric red, a blackletter title and the day set as a penwork initial, inside a ruled frame. What you keep comes back as vine-bordered leaves, title pages and colophons with a printer's mark.
In the app: Settings → Appearance → Bookplate. It follows your account to every device, phone included.

Not just the page.
(every room, in Bookplate.)
The page stays quiet so you can write. The red and the ornament live in the rooms. This is the app itself: click through the rooms.
while you write
The theme steps back when you write.
Start typing and the menus fade, like they always have. The frame, the date and the little ornaments fade with them, to about a third. Paper, ink and your words stay. Stop, and the room comes back.
